Are you alone this Christmas?

I hate to think of anyone alone.
So, if you are, I will try and log on and keep you company. X

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Yes thank heavens for most of the day.

After years of driving hundreds of miles through all kinds of weather to spend Christmas with a lot of people with whom I had little in common only a blood line, I can now heave a sigh of relief and stay at home.

After my husband died all I ever wanted to do was to have Christmas alone with my little boy but it never happened.
There must be hundreds of people doing the same thing, going away when they would rather stay at home

Then when my son had grown and some of the family gone I volunteered for duty over Christmas so other volunteers could spend time with their families .

I will go up to my son's mad house on Christmas afternoon to see the children. It will be chaos with 5 children, 2 dogs 2 cats and the school hamster

Hi

I am seeing the pretendies Christmas Eve, that is when the Polish have a meal and presents.

I will not be able to see Guy, so will be on my own Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

It doesn't worry me, been on my own before.

I'll be alone, unless in hospital.

Previously I've gone to a neighbours for Christmas; trouble was: she really couldn't cook, there was something off about every single item.

Last year you did voluntary work Dreamy.
I do hope that Christmas is not too bad for you. I will be about supporting online. X

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

I'll be on my own, thank goodness.

I'm lucky and usually manage to avoid Christmas for the most part. I can't think of anything I'd dislike more than having to socialise with people for hours on end.

This year, being retired, I can't actually go to work like normal so instead I'll be decorating the kitchen (with paint, not bloody tinsel)

Probably for a while once Daughter brings me home after the Christmas meal. Son will be off doing his own thing, so yes, I will be alone, but I can play with my presents, if I get playable ones that is.

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Some sad tales here and I feel for those who will be alone.

I guess I'm lucky in that respect. We will have a house full, eight in total.
We seem to be the focal point for family.

As usual, my dear wife has a sumptuous menu planned. Think it makes us the focal point.
