That's why it's pointless. The public's signatures will not make a scrap of difference to anything the BBC says and does. It's a national institution that won't be interefered with. One of the staid and crumbly old relics that this country prides itself on. No wonder we can't get with the times and keep up with other nations.

I'm amused by an article today calling for news posted on outlets like Facebook and Google to be regulated to see if it's trustworthy. Wonder if the BBC would be included?
