Re: Cross Dressing

I know someone born male but is now awaiting the full change operation. They have been on some kind of female hormone pill since they were 15 and I have seen the more female look happening over the years, she will have to be on these pills for the rest of her life. It is a long and hard journey with appointments in Glasgow at regular intervals, she needs the permission of two of the psychiatrists from the centre before it's ok to be put forward for the operation, they really put her through it as well, but she has permission. Don't know when it will happen as there's only one place in the UK that does this and it's down on the South Coast, Nr Brighton I think.

Mups, Pete Burns looked awful but l loved him. His ruined face never took away his wit, his vast knowledge of vocabulary and his way with words.
I was so sad when he died.

One lovely lady and absolute beauty had been born a boy . He/she struggled and didnt understand but managed to get through to the age of say 25 . Eventually the family pulled together knowing her struggle and paid for the big operation. She was shown how to apply soft make up and dress beautifully . She was all female and a beauty . Apart from her large hands and feet . She never married though.

The second acquaintance a big roughish man who had the OP done in his 50s . Always looked like a man dressed badly. Now an extremely successful counsellor hypnotherapist runs numerous clinics for help and guidance for those needing to change and having been born into wrong bodies . I never really bonded with this lady .

The third who I see often is sort of both really . I met her two years ago . She does have the Male look yet she is also gentle and quiet and definitely now a female in every way . Lives a quiet quite lonely life and I believe has been through hell to get where she is today. We can never know their suffering and struggles and cant even understand how it must feel to feel you are a girl in a boy body or a boy in a girl body . It goes deep and something we cant know. After the operation they cant help it if there is an element of the previous body or personality there whether they still look like a man or a woman we can all look odd on the outside with large bodies or thin legs or wide backs with heavy legs .

I'm glad I have an understanding .

Some people cant understand . Like my son who made a rude remark about a person as we walked past her/him . I asked him not to but he just laughed . I didnt try to educate him it's his life and choices .

What I do know is I've met three of these decent living people and I admire them greatly for there but the grace of God go I .

I'm one of the lucky ones
What a lovely post!

I agree, seeing Caitlyn's arms & hands & hearing her talk, she is a very manly woman, but she did look different out of the jungle & hair styled & face made up.

Another one is Perry Grayson, he just looks embarrassing to me, IMO. I also thought CJ too masculine to be convincing.

Re: Cross Dressing

I can totally understand that some people are born on a gender spectrum where we can be more towards one gender than another. I can understand that they want to live their life as another gender.

What I do not understand is the part clothing plays in this. Clothing is just an artificial social construction. Hair length and make up and high heels are all artificial concepts of male/female differences. Because at one point we all had the same hair save that women did not have facial hair. We all wore similar clothes to protect us from the elements. There were no stockings, nail varnish and lipstick.

Can someone explain how you become a man/woman by wearing a particular garment? Because IMO you are who you are without all these props.

Re: Cross Dressing

I completely agree Annie it’s a mystery to me too especially as most women today dress in jeans and casual clothes practically identical to men!
I have not worn tights for decades and wear jeans on a daily basis .
In hot countries I do occasionally wear a frock but generally prefer linen trousers or shorts .
I notice that most cross dressers wear clothes that most women would not be seen dead in like little tarty leather skirts ( suitable only to teenagers who would be too conservative to wear them ) and lashings of makeup. Of course it’s their choice but it’s terrible choice sadly they look more like Dick Emory on a bad day than a woman.

Re: Cross Dressing

I've seen cross dressers badly dressed in tiny skirts and harsh make up . I now think it's because they dont have anyone to show them how to dress . If they had help and guidance to wear softer make up and nice boots and skirts they would have more knowledge wouldn't they .

I'd be happy to show a cross dresser the way to dress appropriately and look attractive
