Julie you couldn't have done any more for the pup and I am sure that he will get a good home if they cannot find his owners,3 years ago I found a deaf white cat, walking down the center of my lane, so I took it home because it seemed confused. I put a note on the school outdoor noticeboard, because the cat seemed well cared for, and 2 days later a distraught man phoned and asked to come and see it, because he thought it was his. It was his and the man was in tears at having got it back, because the cat was only allowed in his garden as he couldn't hear cars and had a near miss the year before. He thought it had wandered out, as he was bringing his shopping in, and nobody had noticed till an hour later. It was a lovely site to see the cat, back in its owners arms, purring away.
