I wonder what he's up to. (not the guy reading the book) .

Good pic d00d

Why isn't he at work?

How do you do this anyway bud? Take photos without them knowing about it and punching you in the face?
Do you hide your camera or maybe have it in a secret side pocket or something?

I held it above my head to get the pic.

It's a media circus down there, not for the camera shy.

But you get so close-up to your subjects. I'd love to be able to try this out

You're showing an interest in street photography now!

First rule: do it where you're not the only one waving a camera, second, if anyone questions what you are doing, offer to delete the photo.

THIS ONE from yesterday is what you'd call a close up. I was on a bench with a wide angle lens and they were almost on top of me.

Thanks d00d. I really do enjoy them.
I think I'd have to take them on a mobile phone as if I'm texting. I'm the sort of person who would easily get noticed doing anything like this.

You'd be better off in a Hi-Viz jacket with PHOTOGRAPHER on the back. Seriously, I know it's difficult to get into, especially outside the capital. You've got to behave like you own the place ... which I do.

I think candid shots of people are always more interesting than those that are posed.

Oh definitely!

I sometimes try for a candid shot, the subject knows it but plays the game and makes it look candid.

That's what happened HERE ... Alex who sells potted plants in various London street markets, slightly blank expression looking over my shoulder, past the camera. He then asked me to post the pic to him.
