Scrumping apples
Building a bonfire ready for Guy Fawkes night.

doing dive bombers off the local pier for money.

catching small fish and selling them to the local Aquarium.

Building a racing trolley with pram wheels and scraps of old wood.

Perhaps. That was around 1960 and a shilling was a lot of money to me too. I don't know how I came by it, but the wheels must have been worth it to me.

Stealing the wheels while the baby was still in its pram? You weren't living in Liverpool were you?
