Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

“Stand by your man,
Give him two arms to cling to,
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by…”

Songwriters: Billy Sherrill / Tammy Wynette

Talking of gay bars Pug.
My old Uncle Dave, was a cowboy for many years, he never married, unfortunately he went blind in his latter years.
One night he accidentally wandered into an all girls bar in San Francisco, he sat at the bar and as he liked to share a joke he ordered a whiskey and said out loud to the bartender “How’d ya like to hear a good dumb blonde joke?”
A woman walked over to him and tipped him on the shoulder.
“I think it’s only fair to warn you seeing that you are an old man and blind, that before you tell that joke, the lady behind the bar is blonde and has access to a baseball bat, I’m a six feet tall blonde and have a black belt in judo, the girl on your right is blonde and a champion wrestler and the girl on your left is also blonde and a weightlifter, now do you still want to tell us all that joke?”
“No…not if I have to explain it four times”

Well, thanks to our kindness and skill
You'll have no trouble until
You catch your breath
And the nurse will present you the bill!"

Talkin, seems the answer to everything, but, the ones who can't help want paying, and, the ones that can, don't realise it.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Guid moaning chums.
The sun is shining
sky above so blue
you may well ask
What today shall we do

Thats poetry/rhyming couplets over for me today

BTW.
Excuse lack of punctuation, I am trying to be frugal in my use of ink, every little bit helps
I am also considering shorter words in posts
