That is a very pretty duck. If it has curly tail feathers it probably is part Mallard. Most hybred Mallards seem to have them.

A decent photo spoiled as i clipped the tail .

Supposed to be introduced by the Romans to Britain as something for the table, now well established but have to face the gun toting brigade in the name of sport, a few escape and live wild.
