Had to go to the hospital today (update @post 27)

I woke up at 5am this morning with a searing pain right down the middle of my chest. Which ever way I turned it stayed the same

In the end Sue took me up to the hospital who thought it might have been a heart attack. At A&E I went straight though for emergency check up .Had blood taken and xrays etc etc and just got back. The A&E consultant surgeon thinks it was a bad spasm .
I had been sick before we went as well
So got to see my Dr for an appointment and hand over a letter of what the hospital did

I think you did right in going to A&E but do you mind me asking a bad what spasm?

they did ecg -constantly monitor on me- blood samples . That is what the surgeon consultant said Just a chest spasm but i was in agony
Sue wasthere when he said it. got sprey and pills to take and have to arrange to see my Local Dr with the letter he gave me

Glad it was nothing serious Bazza, but I'd say it gave you a fright, I hope that'll be the end of it, you did the best thing to go and have it checked out.

You did the right thing...chest pain should never be ignored.
