Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

The forecast I saw yesterday was spot on. Fine this morning when I went to fetch some laundry and by 3.30 pm this afternoon it was pouring. Rob's carer has just arrived with the news that there is a case of coronavirus in Hereford. Didn't think it would get as near as that so soon.

Dismal weather, but seeing the Daffodils on the verges is a joy.
What happened with your daughter's trip to Italy-Jac? It seems Italy is in lock down now.
All this about washing hands-nothing new in that-was always told to wash our hands.

My daughter and s-I-l decided to cancel their trip to Italy after advice from family there . Good job or they might have been stranded there.

Cloudy this morning but no rain so far.
Been shopping this morning-getting goodies ready for granddaughter and children visit later. No shortage of anything on the shelves in any of the shops.
Your daughter was wise to cancel Italy.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Nice sunshine here so I've changed bed and put washing out.
Daughter phoned last night , she has got a bit of a cold and slight cough,no temp. I played hell with her and made her ring 111. She was told she is probably ok . She was worried because she is doing mobile hairdressing today and all her clients are elderly .I'm waiting for her to pop in for a cuppa and to take my recycling down .Don't know what she decided to do about visiting her old ladies.
I had a job getting a slot for my Tesco delivery so I've had to book for a few weeks in advance
Keep well xxx

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

It's been a lovely sunny morning, starting to cloud over now.
Was going to a show in the Grand with granddaughter tonight but after much consideration we decided not to go.Didn't like the thought of being in a confined crowded place.
My friend's granddaughter was due to go to a wedding in London next week it's been postponed. She was due to land in Heathrow on Sunday from Oz but if she came she'd have to spend 2weeks in quarantine because of her flight's stopover on way back so she's decided to stay in Austrailia.
This virus is really affecting life.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

So disappointed. I was due to go to London with a U3A trip in late March to see the Tutenkhamen exhibition, but it's been cancelled. No chance to see these artifacts now without going to Egypt!

Went to Hay this morning to bank monies for Air Ambulance and Church and have a haircut. The Co-op was quite busy but I only needed a few odds and ends (not toilet rolls).
