They are the same as our politicians, Wouldn't it be refreshing to listen to someone still actually in the Army, state that these adverts are the biggest load of whatever and it's time to get real! no chance though, suicidal for their reputation and impending fat pension. As usual, a case of "let someone else worry and deal with it". sigh!

But I do get where you are coming from.
History shows that is not the case. In Vietnam Australian troops were mostly National Service conscripts because highly trained regular troops were too valuable to be put in harm's way.
