Whilst black does absorb heat better ... whites reflective properties also means if your body's hot and sweaty inside you clobber the white reflects it back onto you, whereas black would absorb it , helping to cool you down.
Add to that UV rays penetrate white easier than black.
These desert trotters do know what they doing ..
afterall they should know best.

Good Morning anyone.....A cloudy day, with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, and mist and fog over some hills, although with some brighter spells in the south-east. It will also be breezy, particularly near the coast and a little milder than yesterday..

Good Morning anyone.....A windy day, particularly through the morning, with winds easing a little during the afternoon. Otherwise, largely dry with sunny spells, but feeling cool, with heavy and thundery showers possible later in the afternoon, mainly in the north.
