It appears the event has links with controversial anti-mask group Stand Up X, who have been responsible for anti-lockdown protests across the UK, including shouting at shoppers in a branch of Morrisons Supermarket.

One of the organisers, a Ms Ward has previously expressed anti-masks sentiments on her Facebook page, saying there was ‘no f***ing way she would wear one, adding: ‘If you don’t think something suspicious is going on, why not? There is so much at stake here.’

Stand Up X held rallies across the UK last weekend. At the event in Birmingham, speakers told protestors that ‘Covid 19 is a smokescreen for a bigger agenda.’

Attendees were recommended that people should not comply with track and trace efforts and instead tell restaurants they were ‘Mickey Mouse.’
