PPI Claim - gotta laugh

We did as required and filled all the forms in took about 2 hours to get all the details together and fill the pages and pages of forms in, and posted off our claim. Yesterday back it came and we will be retiring on the proceeds LOL £29.35 is what we are entitled to out of our nearly £3000 of payment to MBNA despite the fact we would never have been able to make a claim on the contract and never wanted it in the first place.

So we have decided we have to laugh chances are if we don't we will cry LOL

Julie, that's incredible! You'll have to buy a little something as a momento. perhaps a new calculator.

Re: PPI Claim - gotta laugh

Credit cards attract a lot of PPI we were paying approximately £50 a month on PPI all the way through the time we had the card. Looking back we should not have cleared my parents debts when they died as that was the only thing we put on the card. But council were very insistent someone paid the rent and council tax left owing and Mum had run up a bill at the local shop, seemed unfair to drop the shop keeper in it as he was not exactly doing well at the time either.

Payment protection insurance levied on a lot of loans and credit cards. Many of us could only get the loans by agreeing to the PPI contract and are now encouraged to claim it back as it was not appropriate for many of us as we could not due to work etc claim if we needed to and they were miss sold to us.

That's really sad Julie. It's bad enough losing a family member but then struggling with the financial aftermath as well as the emotional one just makes things worse.

Was there any explanation as to why the payment was so low?

Great to hear you are laughing about it!
