Re: Ever been cloned?

I pay for things over the phone, like holidays, as recently, and of course have to give the card number, expiry date and the 3 digit security code. I think nothing of it as I trust the company/ies.

My niece had her card cloned not long ago from her local supermarket's ATM. We all nagged her on FB about not covering her hand when typing in the PIN.

I was thinking of getting a cash card to load up and use on the internet and over the phone, though I have another debit card, opened up with Mum's inheritance money at her bank, and have some funds there, but my sister still has her share. If only she'd take it, I could use that card only.

Re: Ever been cloned?

Nobody can draw from your account using only a sorting code and account number, except you. It's not possible but, if you give your 16 digit code and other personal information, then they can clone that information and use it.

No, I'll never have a credit card, mainly because I won't go into debt with anyone. I pays for what I buys.
