What about the people that actually worked for Priti - and what about the other 99 people?

Personally, I have every confidence in Priti Patel.
The truth will be known, of course, after the end of December.

Hi

Fortunately not many are as stupid as that.

The order could have been kill all Jews.

That was the Nazi response.

Just following orders, no way at all.

Not my scene, I have principles.

At attempt to use an reductio ad absurdum is not a defence in the case of a SERVANT not obeying a legitimate instruction.

The Nuremberg Defence of "Befehl ist Befehl" would only ever be required or accepted in an extreme situation such not complying with the Geneva Conventions which certainly could NEVER be the case for an intermediary in an organisation such as the UK Civil Service.

Bullying inquiry 'found evidence Priti Patel broke ministerial code'

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...s-within-weeks

A Cabinet Office inquiry into allegations of bullying by Priti Patel has found evidence that she broke the ministerial code, informed sources have told the Guardian.

Sources familiar with the inquiry said it had found evidence that civil servants were treated poorly by Patel, as well as compelling evidence of bullying.

Pressure on the prime minister to sack Patel is growing as a result of claims of bullying and harassment from civil servants in three separate government departments.

Speculation over the inquiry has prompted condemnation of the Cabinet Office inquiry process, which is conducted in secret and offers no recourse for complainants. Johnson has already been criticised for compromising the process by insisting before the inquiry had ended that he would continue to support Patel.

A sleaze watchdog criticised Johnson last week for failing to rule on the inquiry’s findings. Jonathan Evans, the former head of MI5 and now adviser on standards in public life, told the Times: “When you have got these allegations that have not really been put to bed then it’s easy to say they’ve just been brushed over and I don’t think that’s ideal for public trust and public standards.
Priti Patel 'broke ministerial code with her behaviour towards staff' according to leaked bullying investigation and will get a written warning

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Secretary.html

Boris Johnson will not fire Priti Patel as Home Secretary over allegations of bullying despite an official report saying she broke ministerial rules, it was reported today.

The Financial Times said she would be handed a written warning but not lose her Cabinet post.

Channel 4 News said its findings would be covered in the annual report of the Prime Minister's adviser on ministerial interests, Sir Alex Allan. He was said to have concluded that while some of her behaviour broke the rules, even if 'unintentionally', Ms Patel's conduct since had been 'more positive'.

Shadow home secretary Nick Thomas-Symonds said: 'These revelations could not be more serious. This has all the hallmarks of a cover up from the Prime Minister and raises fundamental questions about his judgement. His actions are all but condoning bullying in the workplace. In any other area of life this would not be acceptable. Yet again, it seems to be one rule for them and another for everyone else. The report needs to be published in full immediately and both the Prime Minister and Home Secretary must come before Parliament to answer questions on this mess.'

You really should stop believing these Laura Keunnsberg fabrications you know, and start understanding what she is really saying - which is that it is her opinion.
Unsurprisingly she gets that wrong.
Frequently.

Like yesterday when Laura Keunnsberg was happily saying "The EU/UK cancelled Brexit meeting is a good sign - it means we must be close to a deal"!
No Laura.
Wrong.

The investigation was a Cabinet Office one; do you understand what that means?
It means that only those within the cabinet know what the report contains and that nobody else can impart the contents.

So I'm sure you will understand my scepticism and why I suggest that you read such weasle-words as "informed sources" and "sources familiar" with extreme caution.

Why else do you think that Starmer & co. are screeching for the report to be made public?
It is because without the evidence which may or may not be contained in the report they have no grounds to demand any actions be taken against Priti.

I hope Boris continues to stand up for colleagues who see such attempted character assassination and refuses to make public the report.
It's amusing that those accusing Priti of bullying are themselves trying to bully the government into releasing a report which was never intended for public release.
Hypocrits all.

Hi

Why refuse to make the report public if it exonerates her and shows that it was a deliberate conspiracy against her?

It would be automatic dismissal without compensation for those involved in such a conspiracy.
