Re: Police Officier shot dead
Without reading back over the whole 121 posts, I don't know if this has already been said? But in my paper it said this:
1.47 am: The Suspect, 23, is taken into a police van in handcuffs, which leaves three minutes later for Croydon Custody Suite.
2 am: Suspect arrives and is put into a holding cell to await a Covid-19 screening procedure.
2.15 am: Sgt. Ratana prepares to search the man with a metal detector. The suspect, handcuffed behind his back, reportedly pulls a revolver from his trousers. Sgt Ratana is allegedly shot up to five times. The suspect is shot in the neck as two officers grab him.
2.20: Paramedics arrive and rush the stricken cop to hospital. He is pronounced dead on arrival.
A bit more here, which I cannot get my head round:
" Sources claimed officers failed to find the suspect's gun as it had been well hidden - and would have been recovered
only after an intimate strip search and body cavity check. There were reports that he was able to fire it due to his "unusual flexibility."
Surely that doesn't mean he had a gun up his backside does it???
