Re: Chinese Coronavirus

I wonder if it's possible to have both flu and coronavirus at the same time. Surely one virus would be more dominant as they are fighting for the same space?

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

I was curious and looked it up earlier. Perhaps it depends on the virus? A recent Glasgow uni study found that it's not possible to have a common cold and flu because the two viruses interfere with each other. They were looking at using the interference to research a different approach to vaccination.

However if you are recovering from flu you could be more vulnerable to catching something nasty such as this virus. But that would be very unlucky. Perhaps if you have compromised immunity due to age, although then any vaccine will be less effective. For example a BFF's mum died of flu despite having a jab because she had leukemia.

There are more Chinese than ever at York University at the moment - the place is full of them - and the city centre is full of their visiting relatives. I have never seen so many here before.

Read my post.

If your immune system is compromised or you have respiratory problems you are more likely to be seriously affected by this virus.

A simple Medical Fact.

If you have Flu your immune system is compromised fighting that infection, you also have respiratory problems.

This puts you in the highest risk category.

Simple, basic advise which you choose to ignore.

Your life, your choice.

I see what you mean now.
Apologies Swim, I thought you meant something else.

China has requested assistance with protective measures
equipement supplies! whatever that means?
BTW I am very impressed with the way they put up the temporary
hospital so quickly? Makes you wonder how they did it?

Hi

China can only manufacture 20 million masks a day.

They need far more than that.

Hardly likely to be out and about to pick up anything if you’re down with flu .
More likely people who already suffer respiratory problems ?
I wonder how many children have been affected ?
