Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Lovely morning, but a very cold wind. There was snow on the ground this morning, but it soon vanished in the sunshine. Went to town this morning to pay some money into the PO for the Church. Must say it's a treat to be able to park easily, very quiet without visitors around.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Spent most of the morning cooking. Cakes for visitors to Bowls Club and for the lambing family. Poor little lambs having to go out in this weather. It started off teeming down and the wind(!). Better this afternoon. Found a very large articulated lorry in the village while waiting for the school bus. Advised him not to go to the A470 via "Sunny Bank" (our spectacular steep hill down into the Wye Valley with two hairpin bends), so sent him the other way where he met two school buses! Goodness knows where he came from, never seen a Co-op lorry here before. Off to Craft Club shortly.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Where has everyone gone? Weather has been wild here and down in the valley the Wye looks like it's going to flood at any moment. Poor little lambs are stuffed in every corner over at the farm, can't put them out in this weather. Made a load of Welsh cakes for the troops this afternoon and will take them over when I go to watch the Match tomorrow afternoon.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Not had a good couple of days but better today.
