my son in law is about to be posted to brize norton . raf . i was wandering if anyone knows if the cost of living is expensive in that area . i have heard that raf brize norton is a run down base and aint a very good place to go to live in one of the houses provided by the raf . any info anyone has i would be grateful to know anything that is relevent about the raf base or the cost of living . thank you

Good links there Michael.I don't think it's any m,ore expensive than many other places, especially on the base. My brother in law was stationed at Brize for many years back in the 70's and 80's, and loved it that much that he and my sister continued to live in the area after he was demobbed and still do so..
