What will Rishi do?

So we are hundreds of billions in debt and soon Rishi is going to have to get that back .
He will be hitting us oldies as sure as eggs .
I dread to think what he is going to do .

He has hinted at the long term, saying we won't see the benefits of Brexit for at least ten years.

Rather than hitting us all for six with punitive taxes, I think he will use the country's recovery from the EU to bolster our debts caused by this lockdown.

Back in 2010 the Coalition were determined not to let future generations suffer for the debt caused by the financial crisis of 2008. Hence all the austerity. We now have a much bigger debt problem. This time there is an argument for letting future generations bear some of the pain because it is we who have suffered from the pandemic - not them.

That’s my suggestion.

Small change compared to what we gave the banks in 2009. £995 billion.
I have it on very good authority from my banker son in law that there is an enormous amount of savings sitting in bank a counts thanks to this pandemic.
People can't wait to get out there and spend.
And when they do this country will fly.
