Re: David Bowie

David Bowie was the greatest ever rock star in my opinion. Very, very sadly missed.

Love him ... he was a rarity who lasted through the decades and kept producing fantastic music.

Same here. I was 15 and when I saw him singing 'Boys Keep Swinging' on TOTP in 1979, that was it, I was hooked on his music forever. The coolest man in music. I have all his albums (and many more rarities, etc).

His legacy will live on. He left a fantastic series of albums and some brilliant singles. And what a way to go out, with 'Blackstar' - a superb album.

Yep, another fan here.
Ziggy was my favourite era.

When he came on at the Live Aid concert, sharp suit and straight into TVC15 & Heroes. as feck.

Same here mate.
I'm on a music forum as well as this place, and they had a really good thread going on.
Four albums in chronological order from 'David Bowie', 1967, were put onto the thread and we all had to vote one off, leaving 3 then 2, etc until the winner of that batch was found.
This went on for the remaining albums, four at a time, until they were all done.
Then those remaining winners would be also put up against each other. Went on for about four months and had about 30-40 people voting each time.
Needless to say, 'Ziggy Stardust' just won through as the overall winner.
