After a referendum to exit the EU we should have exited with no deal and negotiated from outside the EU. Trying to negotiate while half in and half out just keeps an open wound bleeding and causes trouble between Brexiters and Remainers.No such thing would have happened if we had left immediately, but fact is, our government will not see us leave so are trying everything in their power to appease the people.

Brexit will NEVER ever happen , at best it will be watered down as too in reality we are out but still in ... at worst it will be cancelled , whichever happens ....THATS WHEN THE FUN STARTS !As a UKIP type party will rise again and become such a pain in the arse they will wish they had done as they promised the electorate they would do

Annie I would totally agree with your first sentence but can not in all sincerity agree with the overall post. The EU are a rule based organization and have already spent over 2 years negotiating a withdrawal agreement that all have agreed to.
And then parliament have rejected it and we have gone back, like Oliver Twist saying 'please can we have more'. We don't even know what we want changing other than the 'backstop' but suggesting no alternative.
Is it any wonder why the EU 27 are so flabbergasted with the UK's stance and are not prepared to reopen a treaty that has already been agreed to.
The no deal possibility is not a UK/EU bargaining chip, it is a TM/Parliament blackmail chip.
While the principles of the EU are honourable I do feel that those leading the organisation in the recent past do not have it or its members' best interests at heart. That is not a sustainable position for such an organisation to be in.
