I think the special place is a room where for the rest of eternity you have to listen to loop videos of Tony Blair talking about the benefits of staying in the EU.

"European Council President Donald Tusk has said that is a "special place in hell" for those who backed Brexit "without even a sketch of a plan" as he met with Irish Premier Leo Varadkar in Brussels to make plans for a "fiasco" scenario where Britain leaves the EU without a deal"

Totally agree with that great guy Donald Tusk.

And to show the ignorance of the brexiters that bitch Andrea Leadsom said on daily politics yesterday that Mr. Tusk was un elected !!!! What ignorance and just shows the lack of knowledge of those doing all the spouting.

By the way for those who don't know (which seems to be a lot) He was ELECTED by the heads of state of each country of the EU in 2014 and re elected in 2017. He won by 27 votes out of 28 (which means the UK voted for him) the only head of state not to do so was Beata Szydło Prime Minister of Poland.

A great guy who has only said what many on this forum have said before.

Leave it out itsme, you're fooling nobody here. Everyone knows the election process is BS and not what it should be.

Here's Cameron explaining the corrupt EU election process:

https://www.politico.eu/article/no-o...or-mr-juncker/

"Under the EU treaties, ratified by national parliaments, it is for EU heads of government to propose the candidate to head the European Commission – albeit leaders should “take account” of the European elections. Then MEPs vote on this candidate in a secret ballot. That is the clear process, enshrined in the Lisbon treaty, after a tortuous negotiation about the balance between nation states and the European Parliament.

But certain MEPs have invented a new process whereby they are trying to both choose and elect the candidate. Each of the main political groups ran “lead candidates” – so called Spitzenkandidaten – during the elections and did a back-room deal to join forces after the elections in support of the lead candidate of the party that won the most seats. This concept was never agreed by the European Council. It was not negotiated between the European institutions. And it was never ratified by national parliaments.

Yet, supporters of Spitzenkandidaten argue that the elections have happened, the people of Europe have chosen Jean-Claude Juncker as Commission president and that it would be undemocratic for elected national leaders to choose anyone else."

Altogether . . . .

"Who do you think you are kidding Mr Juncker . . . ."

Yes indeed, our former clown of a Prime Minister did vote him in, but then again, you must surely know what the majority of voters think of THAT brown-nose.

All our Prime Ministers simply work for the EU. So the UK citizens don't currently have any chance. Thatcher, Major, BLiar, Brown, and now May.

We all know the system is corrupt to the core. Change will come.

So he is elected in a closed quango election and not by the people of Europe is another way of looking at how the EU claims democracy
