In comparison with the scumbag 'nasty party's' own internal elections which is dissolving into farce amid allegations of gerrymandering the EU is a paragon of virtue !!!

The party has been elected. This is a leadership election - I seem to remember when communist Corbyn got elected he then changed the nomination threshold to 10% so it would be almost impossible to get rid of him.

If you want real nastiness check out the hypocritical snobs on the labour front bench.

Hi

Bollox, that is the not way it is going.

Nobody wants to go back to Communism, except our own Jeremy Corbyn.

The former USSR Countries, which include Merkel, are completely against it.

The EU was dreamed up by communists. People like Altiero Spinelli who, today, even has one of the EU parliament buildings named after him.

Look at Nord Stream 2 ... look at the EU Army ... look at how they are buying into Huawei and rejecting the west. The direction of travel of the EU is to the east...

The ever closer cooperation between european countries being an idea from winston churchill, you can hardly call the EU communist. If anything, the EU is a tory invention.

You are right. The EU moves in another direction. Under the guidance of women, no less.
Von der Leyen was brought up in Brussels as the daughter of Heidi and Ernst Albrecht, the latter of whom was a senior German politician who worked in the commission in the 1950s. She has in the past spoken of her aim of a “United States of*Europe*– along the lines of federal states like Switzerland, Germany or the US”, and has backed a future European army or “army of Europeans”.

On Brexit, she has fully supported the commission’s position on the Northern Irish backstop, and criticised the “hollow promises” of those who campaigned for the UK to leave the EU.

Boris may find her a bit too much to chew.
