Re: Brace yourselves for another BrExit delay

what about that thing the Queen can do? (sorry the term escapes me right now!)

Someone said in papers if asked she couldn't refuse otherwise she would be being an activist or something (going against the govt) so would have the just go with it and sign the thing to close parliament until we've left or something????

Could UK use that to leave? or can EU somehow put a stop to that?

You mean her ability to give "Royal Assent" or not.

Sadly our Queeny has already given Royal Asset to each of the fraudulent EU Treaties that have been drafted and signed and which sold the country and its people down the river into a foreign power (the EU).

A monarch really has only one duty which is to protect the country from foreign invasion or take over. She has failed in that duty and therefore rendered the UK monarchy totally redundant. They should be disbanded at the earliest opportunity.

Hi

We have a Constitutional Monarchy.

We have a tendency to dispose of Monarchs who overrule Parliament.

And rightly so. But the queen withholding assent to prorogueing parliament isn't overruling parliament, but laying aside the advice of the prime minister.
An important duty of the queen is to safeguard the democracy. So she may well chose to ignore a prorogueing advice from her pm. In doing so she forces her pm to resign....

It seems John Major wasn't so concerned about prorogueing parliament when he did it himself

A pretty laughable term don't you think when in reality what we have is a monarchy that has allowed a corrupt parliament to steer events completely against the country's constitution?!!

It's totally against our constitution to allow the country to be taken over by a foreign power or for our justice system to be likewise taken over. Yet the Queen gave Royal Assent to the Treaties which did just that.

Some might deem that an act of Treason

Didn’t major call an election so had to prorogue Parliament as a period of purdah comes into being?

Which incidentally he then lost
