My grandmother was given a class prize in 1901 from her teacher, a very informative book all about the British Empire.
I think she was about 10 yrs old, but you wouldn't get a 10yr old reading it today.

I have never found another book by the same title or author, and it is not listed on any sites, but a certain omission of truth behind the so called 'glory days' is apparent.
Dozens of pictures, photos and the history is all positive in the light of what we know now, but never the less, interesting and probably mostly accurate apart from the omitted parts .
