We don't do Bank holidays either. My other half has to work them and we'd car rather go out when it's less busy.

Re: Planning Bank Holiday

The roads here are not gridlocked! There are some queues at busy times but it's never as busy as mainland seaside towns. Last year's good summer weather was recorded on TV in Cornwall as total gridlock with police helped by the army to turn cars away and pictures of beaches absolutely packed with holiday makers.

I'm lucky enough to live within walking distance of the beach and a lovely village, so I can avoid all the extra holiday traffic.

Re: Planning Bank Holiday

Feel sorry for those stuck, it has been extremely hot today, hope they had plenty to drink. The main road nearby has been busy since early morning.

Re: Planning Bank Holiday

My Other Half has to work Bank Holidays so they are just like every other day to us.
Would far rather have a day out once the schools have gone back and it's nice and quiet.
