Is it just being broadcast on tv, or will it be on DVDs? I don't think we get it this side of the pond but I'll look for the book, thanks.

It has already been on in america . I expect it will be on DVD soon.
The book was brill so I hope the film will be too , I hate it when they trash a book and make a rubbish film....

I tried four times to read this book and found it impossible to get past the first chapter. Some books just 'hook' you in and others seem to 'shut you out' and I found this to be one of the latter. Sorry.

Maybe it will be better for you to watch the film as I doubt there will be so much hispory of the area as in the book ?

I plan to get to the library tomorrow... will see if they have the DVD to rent or the book available.

See if you can get it on audio book as it a big book with a bit of cathar history which can be hard for some to plough through. Easier to listen to.
Im interested in the Cathars so it was ideal for me.... but the story line is good when you get to it. Im also looking forward to seeing the sights as it is filmed near me.
