Oxford coronavirus vaccine 'to be rolled out across country on January 4'

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politi...olled-23225009

The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is expected to be approved by regulators within days, paving the way for mass vaccination centres at sports stadia and conference venues to open next month.

Plans have been drawn up to roll out the Oxford coronavirus vaccine across the country on January 4, it has been reported.

The government has reportedly set a target of 2m vaccinations, with either the Oxford or Pfizer jab, within a fortnight.

Several million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have been manufactured and are ready to be deployed, reports The Sunday Telegraph. The government has ordered 100 million jabs, with most expected to be rolled out by March.
Good news but very ambitious targets .....

The words "government" and "target" in any sentence should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Although I'd prefer to have the Biontech one, Oxford is the vaccine most of us are likely to be given. I expect more side effects than the Pfizer one but less than Moderna. Just my guess. DNA transported in a Chimpanzee adenovirus carrier.

The pfizer one should. I don't think the Oxford lot have confirmed whether theirs will also work. They both use genetic technology. These aren't normal old fashioned vaccines.

When medicine starts being 'Genetic' alarm bells should be ringing.
Look at all the fuss about 'Genetically Modified Crops'....
Did you know that 'Genetics' can actually alter your DNA..?

It doesn't alter your dna. It tells your body to recognise the DNA of a virus. That's not the same thing as genetic modification at all.

So the science says. If you think about it it's pretty simple. When you inhale a virus you are inhaling it's DNA. This is harnessing that without injecting you with Covid itself. It means the cells attack the adenovirus shell (because the majority of humans have never been exposed) whilst then noting it's contents of Covid DNA pattern.

My fear is that there will be unpleasant side effects in reaction to the adenovirus shell. There was talk of a fever for a couple of days but not sure whether it was this one or Moderna. Moderna is noted to have far more side effects than Biontech. I would prefer to have the Pfizer jab but they probably won't let me.
