I think it's greedy and uneccessary. Surely it is part of their job, which they are already paid for.
What about all the months they have not been seeing patients? Did they offer a tenner back from their wages for every patient they wouldn't see, too??

It's probably because they have to subcontract additional district nurses. It's not that the GPs themselves will be going into a home. They probably have to spend more time making sure that there is no cross infection and monitoring. I think it's great that we have GPs who are willing to take this all on at such a time and organise all the service on top of their regular very demanding jobs.31-12-2020, 11:20 PM
