Re: Fingers crossed, Goodbye Tinnitus.

That’s awesome news LF! I have a problem with my left ear after a scuba diving incident. Never been quite the same which is a real shame as I love to listen to my music!

Re: Fingers crossed, Goodbye Tinnitus.

Just in case anyone needs any help with their hearing.

https://danalogic.co.uk

This is the NHS Meg not private.
I did have a guy visit a few months back explaining about hearing aids and their cost. I escorted him to the door and our lass and me had a bloody good laugh at him.
Fancy thinking I could afford that kind of money.

I suppose it was the RR on the front drive that made him think I had a few bob.

Thanks for your reply's by the way.

Re: Fingers crossed, Goodbye Tinnitus.

Funny thing tonight sitting listening to the tv and Beethoven's dun dun dun dunnnnn (Ludwigs 5th symphony) comes sounding in my ear.

We worked it out it could well be to let me know that the battery is running low..
Either that or I have the spirit of "Lug"wig Beethoven in my ruddy right ear..

My hearing aids beep at me when the battery is low but I discovered the batteries last a week so I changed them every weekend.

It must be to do with the work they do because the left battery ran out the day before the right one but it was easier just to change them on the same day. The batteries cost bugger all, I buy packs of 100 - and still have 80 left

I was amazed it took so long for you to get one, I booked an appointment and had the hearing aids with in 6 weeks (as I said they came from the Netherlands). I thought that was very good especially as they are free as part of Medicare.

You can order others if you want them with things such as Bluetooth (to connect to your phone or TV) or hearing aid loops but they cost extra. The basic set was good enough and I really should wear them but I have to get into the habit of it.

They don't do anything for tinnitus but I don't notice it anyway

Yeh Bruce I must admit the hearing aids are taking a while to get used to but this is my second time I was given them around 7 years ago and like you say in those days the aids did nothing for tinnitus so I ended up taking them back to the hospital.
Perhaps that is why they waited so long to give me a second try.
But I am determined this time and the fact that it is calming the tinnitus is a blessing.

Just gotta learn how to keep my glass's on when I bend forward..
