New garage doors!

Cannot believe how quickly these were fitted!

Two young men arrived 10:25am this morning - by 12:05pm they had ... built/fitted new architraves, added a new frame, fitted the new doors, sorted out a problem my neighbour had with her doors fitted 5 weeks ago (turned out to be user error), demonstrated how the 'burglar proof locks worked, and cleared up every last vestige of mess - before vanishing in a puff of exhaust fumes.

Half an hour later - worried 'phone call - they remembered unplugging something in the garage to use the socket and could not remember if they had put the plug back in again - they were concerned that it might have been the freezer.

I am really impressed.

The old up and over door was steel but only only one layer - and it was really evil - definitely out to kill me if it could!

These doors are double layers of heave duty steel - so amost burglar proof and also low maintenance - which is a bonus. And they have windproof stays so they can't slam shut on me. I am pleased with them - does it show???

Don't be silly, Primus, who puts cars in garages?

Mine is used more as a utility room - the freezer and tumble dryer are out there - and it has free standing kitchen units on either side to store dishes that are used only at Christmas or for parties. My pickling/bottling/fermenting equipment is kept out there as well.

Plus a lot of miscellaneous stuff that is all going to come in useful one day!
