Re: Ode To. Theresa May

If we ever get Brexit, then it will be absolutely necessary for Theresa May to step down immediately and someone else ( must be a Brexit supporting) must be in the chair to negotiate the next stage of our trade deals with the EU. That someone must have the b...s to stand up for Britain and no longer allow those bullies to ride roughshod over us as they have done from the beginning. Someone who truly believes in our success at going for it on our own, not treat it as a damage limitation project as it has been so far.

Bercow upholds the rules of your democratic system. To infer he does otherwise means you prefer a system like thailand.

You speak of YOUR democratic system,NOT,our democratic
system,Solash,so,what is YOUR democratic system?please
explain.Perhaps WE can learn something
Bercow upholds the rules that were made centuries ago to
favour our rulers, these rules were made deliberately ambiguous
to allow these same rulers to choose which interpretation
favoured them.Over the years these rules were amended to
(you guessed it) be even more ambiguous.
I agree, Bercow has mastered the art of managing these rules
and he attempts to be amusing .
But, he doesn't add to democracy, his role is to thwart it!
Which he is doing quite well presently & is why he earns more
than the PM
I have the feeling that all this will change soon

Re: Ode To. Theresa May

If you have read the various posts I made last few days (thread: replace first past post etc) you know about my democratic system.
If it were true what you are stating, you need an uprising against your own government. Being in the EU could be advantageous, so leaving would be stupid. But, only if it is true what you say.

I think we agree on something Solash.
That our system needs changing,do you agree?
That there are two methods to change it. Do you agree.
The two methods are,an election or uprising. do you agree.
At the moment, election, won't change it because,
80% of parliament are at odds with constituencies, do you agree.
That leaves the remaing option. do you agree
From your previous post l think you do
But you also propose something we disagree on, that being in
EU might be advantageous and therefore it would be stupid to
leave,to use anEU phrase, could you clarify the supposed
advantage
Then maybe when proven, we can reach a consensus on
the stupidity part of your argument.
I have no idea how to solve all this crap
Only events will decide

We agree that to change your system, it would require an uprising. Your government has a certain way dealing with protests, let alone uprisings. Recently a former soldier was charged for executing the orders of his CO, half a lifetime ago, stopping a people's protest.
Being in the EU could be advantageous because it is where 90% of your legislation originates nowadays. The houses of parliament only need to rubberstamp them. In this way, although it takes a lot of time to agree in europarliament, laws apply to all people in europe. What could be more democratic than that? All people equal for the law?
