Scott Walker, a true genius, a one-off.
He had a crooner's voice but was a great songwriter too. Hit songs such as 'Jackie' and those massive ballads as part of The Walker Brothers (he probably invented the 'power ballad').
His later years saw him 'experiment' with some critically acclaimed avant garde masterpieces with albums such as 'Bish Bosch' and the incredible 'Tilt'. he will be very sadly missed. RIP.

There seem to be a shocking lack of radio and TV tributes but I see the played out with Jackie at the end of last night's Frankie Boyle show on BBC.
