Crikey, our postmen would love the double time for working weekends - except of course they wouldn't get it because parcels are delivered by subbies on a fixed price.

Here the postal carriers work five days a week - we have six day delivery - then a sub works one of the weekdays. The sub and the regular carrier all deliver packages.

What gets me is that a postage stamp for an envelope costs almost 50 cents. I think that is a lot, because I have a lot of bills to mail each month. But, then if I weren't so lazy, I could pay the bills online and save.
