I'd sat and wracked my brains and I'd decided it was going to be that copper chap that was putting the pressure on Charity to own up to insurance fraud last year.

Some of the storylines are getting just plain daft.
Is there anyone in that village who isn't having an affair? Addicted to booze? Blackmailing someone? Battering their bloke? Impersonating someone to get fraudulent bank loans? Stealing cars? Doctoring DNA results? Running down the vicar AND, tut, tut, with no driving licence.

Does anyone actually farm or milk the cows anymore

Morticia I think all that changed when it stopped being Emmerdale Farm and became just Emmerdale.
