The Velvet Underground

The Guardian Spotify list of (in their opinion) the Top 30 Velvet Underground tracks. https://www.theguardian.com/music/20...t-songs-ranked

I like a few but definitely none with Nico "singing".

Re: The Velvet Underground

If you are not happy with Nico, then perhaps you'll like this version of White Light/White Heat live on stage with Bowie and his crew.

Re: The Velvet Underground

I never did get to grips with their music. Rush and Dream Theater are much better IMHO.

Re: The Velvet Underground

I know I should like the VU, but they kind of passed me by, not big in middle england back in the day.

The underground they always were. I listened to some of those songs 10 or 20 years later, but now - reading the guardian article - the only two I know by name are those later recorded by Lou Reed as a solo artist.

Re: The Velvet Underground

I've heard of them and heard them, but they were a little before my time considering I wasn't even a teen until 1977. My parents idea of music was country. To this day I can't listen to older country songs, just got tired of a genre I grew up with but never really cared for.

And this popped up.

Really nice.
