Re: I've had my chest x-ray
Well, I almost walked out of the hospital last night.
They awoke me at 10:15pm to tell me I was moving to a 4 man bay as my room was needed by someone who was badly ill.
"How come the day staff didn't tell me?", `I asked. Apparently they did according to the night-staff but no-one diid or I wouldn't have gone to bed. `cue a big stand-off where I threatened to leave for good right there and then. "You can't leave, you're sick" they said. "Watch me", I said. So I poacked all my bags.
The charge nurse wasn't happy because this was on her watch and it was, by now approaching 11:30.
Eventually a night-doctor persuaded me to stay but I hate moving rooms, particularly when I've got my own room and it took long enough to get it. I did leave the hospital at 7:30 this morning, though - I just want to spend a few hours at home.
If I had been suffering from anything but cancer I would have left for good last night, waking me up to tell me I have to change rooms is not good.
