Warmer bedding

Anyone succumbed yet, and changed their summer duvet over for a warmer, winter one yet?

I have been fine until night 2 nights back and I kept waking up feeling cold. Cold arms, and cold feet.
It was one of those sleeps where I knew I was cold but couldn't quite wake sufficiently to get up and do something about it.
So next morning, Saturday, I raked out my winter duvet - 13 tog. Last night was bliss, snug as a bug I was.

Today my summer one is washed and blowing out on the line ready to pack away till next year now.

Have others had to give in and changed their bedding yet?

Re: Warmer bedding

I have the 13 tog duvet all the year around. I just throw it off both summer and winter if I feel too warm.

I have, it has been very cold all of a sudden here. I was nice and warm in bed last night...slept like a kitten....

Mups, I like Flannel sheets in the fall, before the heat is on.

Gosh, I'd forgotten about those Blue, I think Mum used to give us those in winter when we were kids.

Re: Warmer bedding

I like my bed to be cooler rather than warmer, I never use a hot water bottle or electric blanket. I dislike flannel sheets.

Re: Warmer bedding

Not switched to flannelette yet but I have changed all my duvet covers, pillow slips and curtains from my cool green shades (for summer) to rich warm terracotta for that snuggly nesting and burrowing in bed feel.

Re: Warmer bedding

Still Summer duvet but..I am snuggling and hugging it a bit more these last few nights instead of lying there in gay abandon as you do when it is warmer

I also keep the same tog duvet on all year, I have a big heavy eiderdown in the cupboard and we put that on top of the duvet if it's really cold.
