Re: Our way of life ending

The problem is that once one starts referencing things, then OGF will argue that these things have either been tampered or vetted somehow by the "they" and that we should potentially take everything we read with a pinch of salt and instead just look at the world around us.
and that is his modus operandi and we should recognize it as such - he will just pull it out of the bag and puff out his chest and pretend to be mightily clever!

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔
That is what I meant by the balance of nature being out. Disruption of the food chain. Climate changes, pesticides, pollution, technological effects on migration patterns and mating etc. Our ecosphere is dependent on an intricate web of life that we don't even notice. Windfarms are something I hadn't even considered but here is a study of how windfarms reduce bird populations, leading to greater numbers of lizards...the way things should work are constantly being meddled with by humans. With unintended and surprising consequences

In fairness to OGF, he may be correct to a degree.

My main problem with his stance is that he's potentially throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Naturally, we tend to cherry-pick things which support our own position on things. But one should be equally wary of believing that all of those cherries are fake as accepting that they are true.

Re: Our way of life ending

https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/tra...afaris-really/

"If safari’s history is rooted in hunting, cameras have replaced the gun"

"If the animal’s best interest is to live a full life in the wild, it’s not to try and accustom them to human behaviour so that tourists can take selfies"

Another challenge facing wildlife safari is the risk that the animals have in contracting human illnesses.

“Due to close genetic relatedness, gorillas are at risk of contracting human pathogens, tourists are not permitted to track gorillas when they’re sick. “Common colds are among the illnesses and that’s why recommended at least to keep seven metres away while viewing gorillas.”
The other side of the debate.

"If these animals in the forest or savannah do not have economic value, then why should anyone support their existence?"

Without the economic benefits of safari tourism, then local communities are unlikely to see the advantages of looking after the animals, especially when they so often roam into neighbouring villages and eat from their farms, and therefore damaging their livelihoods
A double-edged sword.

For the record, OGF was citing Newton's third law.

Not quite sure what he was applying it to in this context, but it's a pity that he seems to have forgotten the first two laws which, it could be argued, work against his laissez faire attitude.

In layman's terms:

1 Things will carry on progressing in their uniform state until you start messing with them.

2 The rate at which things change (away from the uniform state) is proportional to the amount of messing about that you do.

Do you think the migration patterns have changed because of all the RF waves permeating the earth Donkeyman? I've seen reports that mention dead birds around 5G masts? We know that some animals use the earth's natural magnetic and electrical lines to navigate by.

The only overfishing taking place is in certain areas, again I must remind you how huge the oceans are. Perhaps the fish are wising up and moving out of reach.

I'm no scientist but we take a small snapshot of something happening in the world and suddenly the end is nigh....

Nobody is blameless we all have an environmental conscience.
