I have as long as I can remember had an interest in aircraft.
I was given a model by the son of one of my mothers friends.
It was a balsa and tissue model. I remember it flew, but soon broke.
At school I and a few others all went and bought and built the same model. It was a keilcraft 'senator' free flight glider.
We would stand on top of a hill and see who's would go the furthest.
At present I have in flying condition 14 models, and 6 quadcoptors (they call them drones).
I have always preferred gliders and sailplanes.
Just one of the videos of mine flown from the field rear of my home.

Wow! Walthamstow and Chingford from the air! What fun.

After watching that programe about those luxury boats.
One of those would do nicely. Out in the med, lounging in the sun with a fishing rod hanging over the side.

Just one of the cabs that I owned. This was the 'flying turd'. Note the number plate.

I gave up cleaning cars when I retired. I had to make sure the cab was in a clean condition daily.
I was glad when I woke up in the mornings and it was raining. Save having to clean the cab and was good for business.

Afternoon to you Emjay.

Looking back over the years, do you have any real regrets?

Yes. A couple of times I have said things that have gotten me problems. I regret saying these words and should have kept my mouth shut.
Opposite to that I regret not saying things when I should have.
I regret that day that I was with others play leap frog onto a big 650 Norton (army type), the forward motion pushing it off the rear wheel stand, and at the same time kick starting it and roaring to the end of the MT garage.
When I did this, putting on the brakes, the front wheel went away from me and landed on my lower back. I still suffer at times from the injury that I suffered that day.
I suppose there are other regrets that have happened, but do not spring to mind at present.

Emjay, we have a mutual interest in Model Aircraft, do you visit any of the major shows, Cosford, Weston Park, Much Marcle etc?

No I have not been to any of those mentioned. But I have been to 'Wings and wheels' at Northweald.

What was your biggest tip? Do taxi drivers expect tips?
