Zootia by Disney.

I thought it was excellent with regard to the quality of the animation, character development and storyline. Loved it.

Really enjoyed Zootopia!
The animation was fantastic.

I'm a sucker for animal movies.
Just watched Fly Away Home. Again.

Re: Film - the most recent you have seen?

Have recently watched two DVDs - both of which were very moving albeit for different reasons.

1. The Railway Man - based on fact - story of Eric Lomax who was a Japanese prisoner of war and worked on the Burma/Thailand to China railway. Apparently, in later years, he met and made friends with a member of the Kemptetai who was in charge of the camp and who had presided over his torture.

2. Suffragette - again, based on fact - the rise of the women's suffrage movement - leading to the death of Emily Davison at Epsom race course on Derby day.

Both were very gory in parts but incredibly moving to watch. Plaudits due to all involved.

I don't go to the cinema preferring to watch films at home since I got an Amazon fire stick. First off I watched Fifty Shades and now can't wait for the next installment!

Re: Film - the most recent you have seen?

Just watched `When worlds Collide` a film older than I am which I remember seeing at a local flea pit when I was a lad. I suppose you could call it the progenitor of the modern earth destroyed by meteor movie. This one having not one, but two planets rushing towards earth at blinding speeds. Great fun and quite accomplished for its time. What struck me though is the lack of black faces anywhere (pre-civil rights). As per format, lots were drawn to see who would be selected as one of the forty white escapees to board a hurriedly constructed space-craft (no black engineers or construction workers either) so they could escape to the smaller planet.

After a few earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and towns and cities washed away by tidal waves caused by the near miss of the small planet shooting passed the earth, the rocket took off and into space just in time to see the earth obliterated by the larger planet via a aft-facing camera. Chasing after the new planet expending all of their fuel in the process, the ship's pilot (the hero of the movie) managed to glide the craft safely into a conveniently flat landing space with none of crew or escapees getting a scratch. Opening the doors of the space-ship, not only did the planet have an oxygen rich atmosphere but vast amounts of vegetation and water - this despite having travelled billions of miles through darkest outer space.

As I said, enjoyable hokum which brought back memories of my school days.

Watched Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg
Hilarious but certainly not for those of a prudish disposition.
