Jobs
I saw this job advertised online. It isn’t untypical of what some employers expect, and what they are prepared to give in return.
Butlers Automotive Ltd (Part of the Autosupplies Group) are seeking to recruit a part time delivery driver to join our busy team, delivering parts to garages in and around the Barnsley area. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 12.30 pm - 5.00 pm and working Saturdays 8.00 am to 1.00 pm on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and conscientious individual and flexibility with their working arrangements is a must as they will be required to cover for holiday periods and sickness periods. A full clean driving licence is essential for this role. Minimum wage applies.
Surely, for the minimum wage, one would only be willing to do the minimum amount of work, with a minimum amount of conscientiousness and flexibility. Or is there something wrong with my reasoning?
