Re: Another No Confidence Vote

The Corbin motion is pointless and the motion won't be tabled anyway (this is I think partly related to the time allocated to opposition motions being tabled)

What Corbyn would have liked to have done was to table a motion of no confidence in the government rather than in Mrs May but he won't do that . If he does he limits his options of actions to take if May doesn't get her deal through and as a closet leaver he is scare he will be left with being faced with another referendum.

''Juncker and Tusk’s annual pay of £352,800 ''

Is it any wonder the EU leaders don't want us to leave or to 'upset the apple cart ' by leaving.
Those massively high wages not to mention the little 'perks' that go along with them will come to an end if the EU crumbles...

And IMO that's why so many politicians want to remain, if we come out they have no chance of joining that gravy train. Blair must be frothing at the mouth he's been stopped.

Wow! Compare that with "normal" parliamentarians:
Member house of commons approx. 91.000
Netherlands 2e kamer (commons) € 109.000
Europarliament rep. Netherlands € 99.000

By law the salary of all working in public administration (civil servants, ruler, mp, pm) is maximized at the same salary (balkende-norm)

I agree Julie , I am sure Blair has a job there in his sights
The Kinnocks did well out of the EU , Stephen Kinnock is a keen remain supporter, my guess he thought there might be a lucrative job there for himself too.
