The controls are self contained within the generation faculty surely?
although those controls may well be computerised nowdays !!
On the money machines there maybe a problem initially but we
would soon revert to real money again ??
Imo there is a good case for doing away with all this electronic
money for the very reasons that you quote, such as giving the
the powers that be too much power over the populace and WILL
lead to coercion by the government eventually ??

Hi

Taking it bit by bit.

Petrol pumps, yes could be converted back , however we do not have the conversion kits or the means of manufacture of them.

Fuel would run out before we could convert them.

Petrol stations do not have fuel storage tanks, a week at the most.

Power stations are controlled centrally to respond to demand changes.

They have back up in each one, but how would they know what to produce?

It varies hour by hour.

The main issue would be in the distribution networks.

How to get it from the power station to your house.

That is all computer controlled.

How would you get your money?

It goes into your bank or Post Office electronically.

There would be no payments to your account, so nothing to withdraw.

It would be hugely more expensive to go back to a paper system.

Well, what do you think?

You say that everything is computer controlled Swimmy, which is probably true, but all the infrastructure systems such as banks etc
are NOT on the internet but have their own dedicated computer
networks which can only be interfered with if there is no
power and no power back up ! So unless the enemy can gain access
to these highly secure dedicated computer systems then they can
do nowt ? So most of your points are invalid untill such time as
they manage to hack into the system!
I know the pentagon was hacked but what was the result of that?
The hacker was caught and the system was upgraded to stop it
happening again ?
Remember when computers used to get a virus ??
I haven't heard of a computer virus for years now ?
hacking will be the same soon if it not allready !!

Re: Is it war??

Going back to the blockade of St Hellier, what would the French boats have done if the goods carrier crew had turned fire hoses on those boats that were hugging the side of the ship preventing it from leaving port? I would have loved to have seen that happen .

In today's MSM, the French trawler peeps are saying they will blockage Calais next to prevent goods from the UK being landed. Good luck with that one, there are other European ports available to us.

I'm all in favour of them blockading their own ports!

Re: Is it war??

This fishing blockade would't have lasted long anyway because the French would have gone home when they got hungry.

Blockading Calais isn't anything new. All they are doing is blocking their exports

other foot .... gun .... bullet

Obviously never heard of "watchdogs" in software.
