I don't personally find that, here when they are all on the way to school many of them stop and say good morning, some don't of course but in the main the teenagers are quite friendly.
On teenagers-the good part. Several years ago me and Jenny were in Stamford. Long story but this lad was so helpful and called me Sir.
I asked his name and the name of his house master-he looked a little taken aback until I said -I wish to mention you to your house master for being so helpful.
It's sad really all teenagers get branded the same when most are decent kids as appalled as we are at what some get up to. Exactly what we are talking about adults being assumed to be up to no good if they befriend children.
