Lack of rail passengers !!

Due to the spectacular drop in rail passengers it seem s the
rail managements answer is to put the fares up ???
What happened to their mantra of supply and demand ??

Same thing happened with my local Chinese Donkeyman. I'm keeping away from the b*stard.

Seems to be the current business model nowadays Longdogs?
The air lines have also almost cut out economy class due spacing
They say, but have also doubled the business class??
But imo that could be a good thing?

Some organisations have always ignored the basic principles, usually when said organisation thinks they have a captive audience.

If a person wants normality, they need to feed some organisations revenue, that is sort of supply and demand!

If commuters have been working successfully from home, raising fares seems very odd, hardly likely to encourage a return to the office.

Our train and bus fares haven't gone up but it seems there are few people using them. The local station carpark was full by 7am but these days it is never more than half full all day. People are using their cars rather than public transport.

There are also limits on how many people can go into a carriage or bus for proper spacing but I haven't been to Sydney since this pandemic started so I can't say how things are there
