Hi Pixie along with Crickets and other protein rich goodies.

They are being 'farmed' here as farmers diversify, I have seen them on Countryfile.

Its a huge jump, Meg, though isn't it? I've seen them being eaten on wildlife programmes or Naked & Afraid, but to have them as a regular dish...it just seems a bit much to get your head around! I would give it a go though, but I can't see them ever being in a BOGOF deal!

Well my birdies love them, but I don't think I will be trying them, although they are suppose to be very good for you with lots of Protein.

I can remember back in the 60s there was a craze for chocolate coated ants. Never had the inclination to try them though.

Exactly! Birds don't have much choice in their food....we do, so I think I'll let the birds eat theirs and I'll stick to regular human food....!

I always mix dried meal worms, along with some currants into my bird feed too. They do love 'em, as you say Tabs.

I have read it is best to soak them and soften them for nesting birds though, as apparently the babies can choke on them.
Don't know if it it's true or not?
Pity our Nom isn't here, he'd know.
