Re: Breaking the rules again

Tracey Brabin, prospective Yorkshire mayor has been caught out giving brownies to voters and after a police enquiry, has been let off. This, however small, is a blatant abuse of electoral procedure.

Also, a Labour supporter has been filmed removing Conservative election flyers from letterboxes and replacing them with Labour flyers. The whole party is mired in corruption and sleaze.

Say what you will, tampering like this is a felony in the US. ANY removal or adding to letterboxes that is not your own is a federal offense. You must get express permission to go into anyone's mailbox or have charges pressed against you.

No political fare within 100 feet of a polling station (no Tshirts, hats, pens, pencils, flyers, etc). Also, no handing out of goodies at all that could be interpreted as a bribe for a vote.

Also, removal of campaignsigns from lawns, properties.

She is obviously not interested in voters who would prefer a Boy Scout. She is there to serve all her constituents; not just her supporters.

What! don't you have the democracy sausage sizzle at polling booths or "How to Vote" cards?

No wonder you get such low turnouts.

Not yet she isn't. The results haven't been announced yet and her actions in supporting only one part of the community shows blatant bias to attract their vote. In the case of the Dewsbury protests, she should have kept her mouth shut.

I seem to remember that there are even web sites telling you where there are polling booths with a sausage sizzle because not all booths have them. You just make sure which booth is best for you!

The only fly in this particular ointment is that so many people are now using pre poll and postal voting that you would suspect the whole local population has left the area on election day.
